Home-made Chocolate Truffles


These really are little chocolate balls of heaven! Perfect for dinner parties, gifts, or for me, just an everyday snack. They’re really easy to make and oh so delicious, so I thought I’d share the recipe for these yummy little bites

My Baked Eggs


Whilst we were in Cornwall a few weeks ago, my sister had baked eggs from the Blue Bar in Porthtowan (an amazing beach-side cafe!), and she said it was delicious. As I didn’t have them (I opted for the bacon and maple syrup waffles every time! Gotta be done) I thought I’d try and re-create baked eggs at home and yanno what, they turned out pretty good. My mom, sister and I haven’t been able to go on our little mother daughter lunches for a while as my sister’s been in hospital, but as soon as she was out, we were arranging our outings again and as I’ve never been to Ask Italian before, we thought we’d give it a shot.

My sister and I saw this amazing Jamie Oliver chocolate and raspberry tart recipe and instantly went out to buy the ingredients, it looked so delicious and if I do say so myself (and on Jamie’s behalf), it was amazing! Even if we cheated slightly… only slightly!

Browns Brasserie and Bar Birmingham is a tongue twister, isn’t it! It’s also a huge tongue tingler with their delicious food and drinks!

We (the mother, sister and I) had an appointment in Birmingham city Centre the other day, but we arrived early (shock! We’re always late) and decided to have a quick lunch somewhere. Situated right in the centre of Birmingham next to the Church and views of Selfridges, surrounded by many restaurants, Browns Bar & Brasserie caught our eyes and as we’ve never been before, we decided to give it a go…
