What I’m Watching

If you follow me on Twitter, you may have noticed I’m a HUGE tv freak. I love to watch anything new and tweet to myself chat about it. I used to do these kinda posts allll the time, because that’s what TV freaks do, talk about TV, but I haven’t done one for a while now so I thought I’d share with you lovely peoples what I’m watching and loving right now from TV, Netflix and films…

T.V

The Tribe (Channel 4, Thursday, 9pm)– This absolutely fascinates me. It follows the Hamar people in Ethiopia. I love learning about different cultures etc and a big thing I’ve learnt from watching this, we have a lot of similarities. One girl in her teens won’t do any house work or clean the goats because she’d rather go in to the town (market) and drink beer and buy clothes! They also have mobile phones, although they do have to walk to the market which is over an hour away to charge them! A really fascinating watch.

Humans (Channel 4, Sunday, 9pm)– This is one of those amazing programmes that you’re so annoyed when it finishes because you have to wait another week to see the next episode! It’s THAT good. It’s about synths, very human like robots that people like you and I can buy to basically be the nanny, housekeeper, driver, whatever you like. But are they robots? I have my theories about this show but I won’t spoil it with them.

Teen Mom Original girls (MTV, Wednesday, 8pm)– I loved Teen Mom all those years ago, but only the first lot of girls, so when I saw that an ‘original girls’ programme was coming back, I had to give it a watch. It follows Maci, Amber, catellynn and Farrah and where they are now and what they’re up to with their kids. Even after all these years, I still have a strong dislike for Farrah! Anyone else?

Big Brother (Channel 5, all the bloody time!)– yep, that one. The show I say EVERY single year, I’m not watching again and then I bloomin go and watch it, don’t I. I just can’t help myself, it’s not even good *face palms*

Nashville (E4, Wednesday, 10pm)– Who doesn’t love a bit of country music, love, heartbreak and family troubles, eh? In it’s 3rd season, Nashville is based around a variety of musicians all trying to make it big. I’ve found some amazing new songs from watching this! I love it

NETFLIX

Orange Is The New Black– Obviously. Although I haven’t finished season 3 yet as I’m waiting for my sister, we started watching it together so we have to end it together. That’s fine though, I’m patient, I can wait *sobs quietly into a pillow*. And yes I’m a HUGE Ruby Rose fan. She is hawwwwtt

Pretty Little Liars– Again, obviously. Been watching since it started and I’m still just as confused/annoyed/excited as the first day I watched it.

FILMS

The Giver (Sky Movies)– At the start I thought it was literally divergent, people separated into different ‘groups’ depending on their strengths, but then ‘The Giver’ is introduced. All memory has been taken from everyone on this ‘world’ except The Giver. A very futuristic/sci fi film and a tad weird. I did enjoy it, and you probably would if you like divergent/hunger games type films.

Boyhood (Sky Movies)– I remember watching an award show, the Oscars I think, and this film was winning everything but I’d never heard of it, so I knew as soon as it came on Sky, I had to watch it and it definitely didn’t disappoint. Filmed over a period of 12 years, yes 12(!), it tells the story of a young boy and his family growing up and the challenges of life. As it’s set over 12 years, it’s all the same kids, which I really liked seeing them grow up. Fun fact: apparently it’s one of only 11 films to reach 100, the highest score, from the top professional movie critics. I do love IMDd.

Told you I watch too much! It’s almost an obsession!
